Amazon Prime Video has made some exciting casting announcements for their upcoming live-action “God of War” series. According to Variety, Alastair Duncan has been cast as Mimir, while Danny Woodburn and Jeff Gulka will portray the brothers Brok and Sindri, respectively. Fans of the “God of War” games will recognize Duncan as the voice of Mimir in the 2018 game and its sequel, “God of War Ragnarok.”

These talented actors will join previously announced cast members Ryan Hurst as Kratos, Max Parker as Heimdall, Ă“lafur Darri Ă“lafsson as Thor, and Mandy Patinkin as Odin. Duncan and Hurst both have ties to the “God of War” games, with Hurst voicing Thor in the games.

The series will follow the story of the recent “God of War” games, where Kratos must navigate raising his son Atreus while battling gods from the Norse pantheon. The logline teases a journey of self-discovery for both father and son as they spread the ashes of Kratos’ wife and mother, Faye.

“God of War” has been greenlit for two seasons on Amazon, with production underway in Vancouver. Ronald D. Moore is serving as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the series.

In addition to his work in the “God of War” games, Duncan has lent his voice to other popular franchises like “Lord of the Rings” and “The Batman.” Woodburn is best known for his role in “Seinfeld,” while Gulka has appeared in shows like “The X-Files” and “Stargate-SG1.”

Character descriptions for the new additions have been revealed. Mimir is described as a cheery intellectual with a troubled past, while Brok and Sindri are legendary dwarven blacksmiths with a complex relationship.

Fans of the “God of War” franchise can look forward to seeing these beloved characters brought to life in this highly anticipated series.
