Eleventh Hour Games has announced the upcoming Season 4 of Last Epoch, set to release on March 26, 2026. Along with this, they have shared details about Season 5 and the next major expansion, Last Epoch: Orobyss. The first update, Shattered Omens, will bring new seasonal mechanics, class reworks, itemization changes, and an improved endgame experience.
Season 4 will introduce Omen Windows as the central mechanic. These are fractures in reality connected to the Observer’s despair, leading to encounters with void-based entities called Omens. The Omen Windows will have three stages, with the difficulty scaling as players progress through the campaign and higher corruption levels of the Monolith of Fate.
The rewards from Omen Windows include Runes of Corruption, which corrupt gear to grant unpredictable buffs, and Timeglass Fragments, a new currency for purchasing Runes of Corruption and Woven Echoes. The endgame will see the addition of Echo Chains in the Monolith of Fate, reducing downtime between runs and improving map flow.
The Rogue class will receive two new skills in Season 4: Shadow Rend and Bladestorm. Shadow Rend is a delayed attack that interacts with other shadow-based skills, while Bladestorm has been expanded into its own standalone skill with a customizable skill tree.
The Spellblade mastery will undergo major reworks, focusing on improving the melee-spellcaster hybrid playstyle. Changes include converting melee damage to spell damage and adding new mana recovery sources and trigger effects.
Combat in Season 4 will see improvements in enemy hit reaction animations, making combat more visually responsive. Quality-of-life updates include improvements to the loot filter functionality and new drop sound options.
New unique items will be introduced in Season 4, with Rahyeh’s Embrace being the first revealed unique body armor for the Primalist class. Additional balance updates, skill changes, and quality-of-life improvements will be unveiled closer to the launch of Season 4.
