Latest Update on Savannah Guthrie’s Mother’s Kidnapping
The individuals claiming to have kidnapped Nancy, Savannah Guthrie’s mother, are demanding a ransom of $6 million in Bitcoin, as reported by a local TV station.
“Multiple ransom notes have been sent to the media, including one received by us,” said JJ McKinney from Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9.
The ransom note specifies that the Guthries must pay $6 million by Monday to ensure Nancy’s safety. Failure to meet the deadline, set for 5 p.m. local time, could endanger her life, according to the note.
In response, Savannah, along with her siblings Annie and Camron, issued a plea to the kidnappers for their mother’s safe return. They emphasized the value of their mother’s life and expressed willingness to comply with the ransom demands.
As the search for Nancy enters its eighth day, authorities continue to investigate her disappearance. She was last seen on January 31 after a dinner and game night at Annie’s home, before being reported missing on February 1.
Law enforcement conducted searches at both Annie’s and Nancy’s homes in Tucson, with no public details on the findings or any identified suspects or persons of interest as of now.
