Bad Bunny Halftime: Kid in Show NOT 5-Year-Old Detained by ICE

Published on February 8, 2026 at 7:33 PM PST

The kid who received a Grammy from Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl Halftime Show was not the 5-year-old detained by ICE in Minnesota last month, according to TMZ Sports. Bunny’s performance was filled with cultural references, cameo appearances, and dancing, but there was no direct “ICE out” message as some had anticipated.

One particular moment during the show, where Bad Bunny handed a trophy to a child, sparked online discussions. Many believed it was Liam Ramos, the 5-year-old who was detained outside his home after walking back from school on January 20. However, sources have confirmed that the child in question was actually child actor Lincoln Fox Ramadan.

There was no political intention behind the gesture; it was simply meant to inspire kids to dream big and aspire to perform at events like the Super Bowl, just like Bad Bunny did. Ramos and his father were detained in a Minneapolis suburb on January 20 and were later transported to a holding facility in Texas. They were released on February 1 following a judge’s order.

The detention of Ramos and his father sparked widespread outrage. While Bad Bunny has been vocal about his thoughts on ICE in the past, this particular moment during the Halftime Show was not used as a platform to address the issue.

Overall, Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show performance was a celebration of culture, music, and dreams, showcasing the talent and energy that has made him a standout artist in the music industry.
