Kayla Nicole is once again at the center of online criticism, this time for a Super Bowl ad where she took a swipe at her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce and his fiancĂ©, Taylor Swift. The ad, which featured Nicole alongside Tiffany Haddish and NBA player Ben Simmons, portrayed them as “ex-communicators” helping individuals deal with famous former flings.
During the commercial, Nicole mentioned that Simmons and Haddish promised to help her with the “ex-girlfriend fiasco,” prompting Simmons to interject, stating that it didn’t sound right. Eventually, Simmons uttered the word “Swiftly,” seemingly alluding to the pop star Taylor Swift.
Fans of Kelce and Swift, who got engaged in August 2025, quickly caught on to the not-so-subtle shade and criticized Nicole for allegedly obsessing over the couple. Social media users slammed Nicole, with one stating, “It’s been 3 years, and you’re still nothing more than the ex-girlfriend who can’t keep a man or a job.”
Another individual commented, “Pathetic. She no longer gets to complain when the Swifties come after her. She is clearly keen to attract that attention. She’s really making this her personality? Like I said, pathetic.”
This isn’t the first time Nicole has faced backlash for targeting Kelce. Last Halloween, she dressed up as Toni Braxton and performed the iconic “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me” song, denying that it was aimed at Kelce. It remains to be seen how Nicole will address the backlash from the Super Bowl ad, but this incident may be harder to brush off.
As the controversy continues to unfold, it’s clear that Kayla Nicole’s actions have once again sparked heated reactions from fans and critics alike.
