Stone Cold Steve Austin is set to make a triumphant return to WWE, as announced by the promotion. The legendary Hall of Famer has been rumored to come back for some time now, and fans can finally rejoice as he is scheduled to appear in April.
WWE, in collaboration with Fanatics, revealed that Austin will be gracing WWE World during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas from April 16-20. The Texas Rattlesnake will be available for autograph signings and photo opportunities on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, coinciding with WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium.
In a statement, WWE teased fans by saying, “Oh hell yeah. You heard it on RAW. Now itās official. šŗš„Catch @steveaustinBSR. April 18 & 19. And tomorrow, thereās even more.”
This marks Austin’s comeback to the company after his presence at last year’s Hall of Fame ceremony. He attended the event alongside Bret Hart as their iconic WrestleMania 13 match was inducted into the new Immortal Moment section. While his appearance at the WrestleMania 42 convention is confirmed, there is no confirmation about him featuring on the actual show itself.
Austin’s last match took place at WrestleMania 39 against Kevin Owens, and since then, speculations about his return have been rife, especially with next year’s event scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia.
Interestingly, Stone Cold Steve Austin was initially planned to make an appearance at WrestleMania 41. He was rumored to be the special guest referee for a match between Bron Breakker and Drew McIntyre. However, the plans fell through, and WWE ultimately decided to scrap his appearance.
Fans can now look forward to witnessing one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time back in action at WrestleMania 42. The anticipation is high, and Austin’s presence is sure to add an extra layer of excitement to the already thrilling event.
