Australia-based pizza chain Domino’s Pizza Enterprises has announced the appointment of Andrew Gregory as its next group CEO and managing director. Gregory, a former executive at McDonald’s, will start his new role on 5 August, after fulfilling his current commitments.

With over thirty years of experience in the quick service restaurant (QSR) sector, Gregory brings a wealth of knowledge in franchised and multi-market operations. His expertise lies in execution, franchisee economics, and measured expansion. Previously, Gregory served as the managing director and CEO of McDonald’s Australia and New Zealand, as well as the senior vice-president and chief support officer in charge of supply chain, operations, and development in Japan.

Domino’s stated that Gregory’s appointment follows an extensive global search process to align the company’s long-term leadership with its strategic priorities. Executive chairman Jack Cowin expressed his confidence in Gregory, highlighting his deep QSR experience and understanding of franchised business models. Cowin will continue in his role during the handover period to ensure a smooth transition.

In a statement, Cowin said, “Andrew is a highly regarded operator and leader, and we are confident he is well placed to lead Domino’s through our next phase of performance improvement and growth.” He emphasized the importance of continuity, stability, and momentum for the business during this transition period.

Last month, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises appointed Merrill Pereyra as the new CEO for Australia and New Zealand, further strengthening its leadership team. The company’s strategic moves aim to drive growth and enhance performance in the competitive pizza market.
