Alongside him, Sarah Levine Hall, also an Emmy winner, and Jack Sussman, a seasoned CBS executive and live-events producer, bring a wealth of experience in both the Tony Awards and broadcast industry. Kapoor and Levine Hall will be taking on the roles of co-showrunners for the event.
Heather Hitchens, president and CEO of the American Theatre Wing, and Jason Laks, president of the Broadway League, expressed their confidence in the new team, stating, “The 79th Annual Tony Awards are in exceptional hands. With this team’s unmatched expertise in live events and bold creative vision, they will elevate the broadcast to new heights, building on last year’s record-breaking telecast while delivering a show that’s fresh, modern, and fully reflective of Broadway’s ever-evolving spirit.”

They are committed to showcasing the creativity, innovation, and heart that define Broadway on a global stage.
