After a shocking turn of events, former Delta Township Supervisor Ken Fletcher, who had resigned amidst a child sex sting operation, managed to win back his seat in the recent election. Despite facing allegations and charges, Fletcher secured nearly 89% of the votes, defeating two write-in candidates who had entered the race following his resignation in September.

The Democrat, accused of engaging in explicit conversations with an officer posing as a 15-year-old boy on Grindr, now has the option to accept or decline the position until January 1, 2025, as per state election law. Fletcher’s lawyer mentioned that his client was surprised by the election results and is contemplating whether he is still the best person for the job.

Delta Township Clerk Mary Clark mentioned that the township board will have 45 days to appoint a new supervisor if Fletcher decides not to return to office. Despite the legal challenges he faces, Fletcher remains a controversial figure in the local political landscape.

Charged with accosting a child for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime, Fletcher maintains his innocence and is currently out on bond. The community awaits his final decision on whether he will resume his role as the township supervisor.
