California’s Drunk Driving Crisis Blamed on Socialist Politicians

Following an incident where three LAPD officers were hospitalized during a suspected DUI pursuit, the police union criticized politicians such as Councilmember Nithya Raman and Eunisses Hernandez for cutting police officers and neglecting DUI enforcement.
One grieving mother, Jennifer Levi, shared her heartbreaking story of losing her 18-year-old son to a suspected drunk driver. She expressed concern over the lenient sentencing for offenders, which allows them to quickly return to the roads, posing a threat to others.
Levi, along with other victims, is urging lawmakers to strengthen California’s drunk driving laws. State Senator Bob Archuleta has introduced Senate Bill 907 to address repeat offenders and enhance penalties for drunk driving incidents.
