A shocking incident occurred at Pediatric Dentistry of Sherman in Texas, where a dentist was arrested for allegedly performing surgery on a child while intoxicated. Kelly Buck, a 36-year-old dentist, was taken into custody after a staff member noticed her suspicious behavior and alerted the authorities.

The arrest took place on Monday afternoon when police responded to the dental practice following a call about a dentist showing signs of intoxication. Buck failed a field sobriety test and was subsequently arrested for performing surgery while under the influence. This unusual case raised serious concerns for the safety of the patient and the reputation of the dental practice.

Buck, who has been a licensed dentist since 2016, was charged with a felony for her actions. The incident occurred while she was working on a patient at the clinic, where she was employed as a temporary staff member through Cloud Dentistry. The alarming behavior was noticed by a registered assistant, who promptly informed the management.

Pediatric Dentistry of Sherman expressed deep sadness and concern over the situation, emphasizing their commitment to cooperating with the authorities to address the issue. The clinic assured that the patient involved would receive appropriate care and support. Buck, on the other hand, denied the allegations through her lawyer, stating her innocence and professionalism as a dentist.

Following her arrest, Buck was booked into Grayson County Jail and later released on a $10,000 bond. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with the hope of uncovering the truth behind the troubling events at the dental practice.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding professional standards in the field of dentistry and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. Dentists are entrusted with the responsibility of providing quality care, and any lapse in judgment or behavior can have serious consequences. The case of Kelly Buck highlights the need for vigilance and accountability in the healthcare profession.
