The iPhone 17 series has brought some groundbreaking features to Apple’s lineup, including the long-awaited 120Hz ProMotion Display on the base model, the innovative design of the iPhone Air, and the professional-grade features on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. Along with these new devices, Apple has also introduced the latest iOS 26, which comes with a refreshed user interface and some exciting additions like Liquid Glass.

For those upgrading to the iPhone 17 series or new iPhone users, optimizing the iOS experience is essential. Tech Advisor has compiled a list of tips and tricks to help users get the most out of their iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. These tips cover various aspects such as camera settings, battery health, security, and user experience enhancements.

One key recommendation is to set a charge limit to 80% to preserve battery health over time. Disabling Control Centre on the lock screen can also prevent theft by restricting access to key features. Upgrading video settings from default 1080p to 4K can enhance the video quality on the new iPhones.

New features in iOS 26, such as Spatial Scenes, ChatGPT integration, and customizable lock screen clocks, offer enhanced user experiences across all iPhone 17 models. Users can customize the lock screen clock’s font, color, and scale, as well as enable Spatial Scenes for a 3D effect on certain images. Additionally, enabling Adaptive Power Mode can help optimize power usage based on the device’s needs.

Other tips include setting a custom ringtone, using hidden keyboard shortcuts for more efficient typing, and adding a grid and level to the camera for better framing. Users can also disable Macro Control to prevent the camera from automatically switching to macro mode when close to a subject.
