“Dune Part 2” was the toast of the town at the annual Hollywood Professional Association Awards, held at the Television Academy in North Hollywood. The highly anticipated sequel walked away with two prestigious awards in the feature competition, showcasing the exceptional talent and expertise of the team behind the film.

The first award went to Fotokem colorist David Cole for his outstanding work in color grading. Cole’s mastery of color brought the world of “Dune Part 2” to life, enhancing the visual experience for audiences. The second award was for sound, recognizing the exceptional sound design team that worked tirelessly to create an immersive auditory experience for viewers.

In addition to “Dune Part 2,” other notable winners in the feature competition included Kevin Tent for his editing on Alexander Payne’s “The Holdovers” and a team from Weta FX for their work on “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.” These awards highlight the incredible talent and creativity present in the film industry.

The awards ceremony also saw Disney/Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” taking home the trophy for outstanding color grading in the feature animation category. Netflix’s “Ultraman: Rising,” animated at Industrial Light & Magic, claimed the VFX trophy, showcasing the innovation and skill in the animation world.

FotoKem, a prominent post-production company, was honored with the Charles S. Swartz Award for industry contributions, recognizing their significant impact on the entertainment industry. The Judges Award for Creativity and Innovation went to Taylor Swift | The Era Tour, acknowledging its influence on both live and filmed entertainment.

Engineering excellence was also celebrated at the awards, with Adobe, Disguise, Cuebric, and Evercast receiving recognition for their contributions to the industry. The event showcased the best and brightest in the world of film and television, highlighting the incredible talent and innovation present in the entertainment industry.

Overall, the Hollywood Professional Association Awards was a night to remember, honoring the outstanding work of creative professionals in the film and television industry. The winners showcased their talent and dedication to their craft, setting a high standard for excellence in the world of entertainment.
