Woman with Concealed Carry License Shoots Man in Foot During Domestic Dispute in Gold Coast
A woman with a concealed carry license shot a man in the foot during a domestic dispute in the Gold Coast neighborhood late Friday night, according to a Chicago police report. The incident took place around 10:14 p.m. in the 100 block of West Maple Street.
According to the police report, an argument between the woman and a 40-year-old man turned physical, leading to a fight. During the altercation, a handgun was produced, and a single shot was fired, hitting the man in his left foot. An evidence technician recovered a firearm from inside a vehicle at the scene.
Chicago Fire Department paramedics provided initial treatment to the man at the scene before transporting him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition.
Following the incident, the woman was taken to Area Three headquarters for questioning, although no charges have been filed at this time.
