84-Year-Old Mother of Savannah Guthrie Reported Missing in Tucson
It has been three weeks since Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing from her home in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills on January 31. Despite authorities working tirelessly on the case, insiders have revealed to ABC News that the search operation may soon transition to a long-term, scaled-back effort.
A recent development in the case came when an Arizona couple discovered what appeared to be blood-stained black gloves in the desert approximately a mile from Nancy’s residence on February 11, as reported by KVOA. The couple described finding the gloves, noting that one of them seemed to be ripped and stained with blood, with the blood primarily located towards the wrist and on the pointer finger.
The gloves were found about 10 feet apart off Campbell Avenue, with one of them resting on a rock that had a dried droplet of blood beneath it. The couple immediately contacted the sheriff’s department upon making the discovery, and investigators arrived at the scene to question them before conducting a thorough search of the area until the early hours of the morning.
Speaking to the outlet, the husband remarked, “It didn’t just look like a regular glove. It looked like this was a glove used for something that could’ve possibly been what they were looking for.” The wife also expressed their concern, stating, “We immediately were like, we have to do something.”
As the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues, the discovery of the blood-stained gloves adds a new layer of complexity to the case. Authorities are diligently following up on leads and utilizing all available resources to bring closure to this troubling situation.
