KNWLS, the brainchild of Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault, had a remarkable year in 2025. As the brand gears up to celebrate its 10th anniversary, they achieved several milestones that solidified their position in the fashion world. One of the highlights was their collaboration with Nike, which was a huge success and sold out quickly. Additionally, they released a capsule collection with Miss Sixty and had the opportunity to design for a major Italian denim brand. The pinnacle of their year was staging their first runway show in Milan during Fashion Week in September.
Charlotte Knowles reflected on the whirlwind year, acknowledging the incredible opportunities that came their way but also admitting to feeling overwhelmed by the multiple projects they were juggling simultaneously. In an effort to better manage their workload, the duo made the decision to step back from their responsibilities at the denim brand, while continuing their collaboration with Nike. The fusion of KNWLS’s signature style with technical sportswear in the Nike collection was a hit among fans.
For their fall collection, Knowles and Arsenault decided to showcase their expertise in historical references. Drawing inspiration from Victorian elements such as strict waistlines, puffed sleeves, and ruffles, they infused their designs with a modern twist. The collection featured leather corset tops, jackets with unique details, and prints derived from vintage men’s pocket square scarves. The intricate construction and attention to detail in each piece reflected the duo’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
In a departure from traditional runway shows, KNWLS presented their collection at a luxurious pop-up store adorned with artwork and curated displays. The look book, shot by renowned photographer Aidan Zamiri, was showcased alongside pieces from their wider community of friends and collaborators. The immersive experience allowed visitors to delve into the world of KNWLS and appreciate the creativity and vision behind each design.
As they look ahead to 2026, Knowles and Arsenault are focused on finding balance and continuing to push boundaries in their work. With a blend of historical influences, modern aesthetics, and a commitment to quality, KNWLS is poised to captivate the fashion world for years to come.
