Sentenced to Over A Year in jail for DUI
Published
Zachery Ty Bryan has been sentenced to 16 months in jail following a 2024 DUI arrest, with no chance of probation this time.
The former “Home Improvement” star struck a plea deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to DUI and admitting to driving with a BAC of 0.15% or higher, nearly double the legal limit.
Court documents reveal that Bryan also acknowledged two previous DUI convictions, exacerbating his legal situation. Any future DUI charges would lead to even harsher penalties.
The judge opted against probation, sentencing Bryan to 16 months in county jail with credit for 57 days already served.
Upon completing his jail term, Bryan will still have to address out-of-county warrants awaiting him.
Records indicate that Bryan was initially arrested by La Quinta Police in 2024 for driving under the influence with multiple prior offenses, including a misdemeanor contempt of court charge.
This latest legal development adds to a string of troubles that have plagued Bryan in recent years.
