President Donald J. Trump’s unwavering dedication to fortifying our borders has yielded a dramatic shift, effectively halting the surge of illegal entries, the operations of dangerous cartels, and various national security threats. Yet, the journey is far from over.

  • Historic Reductions in Illegal Immigration: Illegal border crossings have dropped to levels not seen since the 1970s. In 2025, the U.S. recorded negative net migration for the first time in over five decades, signaling a reversal of years marked by unchecked migration and a reclamation of national sovereignty.
  • Mass Removals and Deterrence: Approximately three million individuals have exited the U.S. illegally, with over 675,000 deportations — including more than 400,000 individuals charged or convicted of crimes — alongside 2.2 million who chose to self-deport.
  • Zero Releases and Strong Deterrence: For nine consecutive months, no illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S. interior, effectively dismantling catch-and-release policies and achieving an astounding 99.9% reduction in such practices compared to the previous administration.
  • Crushing Fentanyl and Cartel Threats: In 2025, fentanyl trafficking across the southern border saw a significant decline of 56% from the previous year. This was bolstered by the signing of the HALT Fentanyl Act, which permanently categorizes fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I drugs, and designates nearly a dozen significant Latin American cartels — including Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and Clan del Golfo — as terrorist organizations, while preventing over 10,000 individuals with links to narcoterrorism from entering the country.
  • Border Wall and Enforcement Surge: On his first day, President Trump declared a national border emergency, revitalizing and extending border wall construction with numerous new miles underway in critical regions such as El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley. He dispatched National Guard and active military to the border, reinstated the Remain in Mexico policy, and repurposed the CBP One app to facilitate self-deportations.
  • Enhanced Interior Security and Resource Protection: The Trump Administration has doubled the workforce of ICE, expanded detention capabilities — including the establishment of the largest migrant facility in U.S. history. They conducted over 206 million benefit eligibility checks to safeguard programs for Americans and terminated benefits for at least 1.4 million ineligible illegal immigrants, while locating over 132,000 unaccompanied children who were lost during the previous administration.
  • Visa and Status Reforms: The Trump Administration has revoked more than 100,000 visas due to fraud, criminal activity, or security concerns. They have paused immigrant visa processing for 75 high-risk countries, rescinded Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands from nations such as Somalia, Venezuela, and Haiti, while also putting a stop to refugee resettlement.
