Ghislaine Maxwell Transferred to Minimum-Security Federal Prison Camp in Texas
After a meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in August 2025, Ghislaine Maxwell caught a big break when she was transferred to the minimum-security federal prison camp (FPC) in Bryan, Texas, commonly known as “Club Fed.”
The women-only, minimum-security camp is considered the lowest-risk and lowest-restriction facility in the federal system, providing a more comfortable environment for inmates.
In July 2025, Maxwell’s brother, Ian, revealed that she had expressed fears for her life while housed in Florida and had concerns about her safety.
“Prisons can be very dangerous places, and Ghislaine has shared her worries about the serious staff shortages and the increasing number of higher-risk-category prisoners being admitted to facilities like Tallahassee,” Ian disclosed.
During her meeting with Blanche, Maxwell expressed her doubts about the official ruling that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide while in jail. Despite the suicide by hanging ruling, she stated, “I do not believe he died by suicide.”
While she did not speculate on who might have been responsible for Epstein’s death, Maxwell’s transfer to the more secure facility in Texas has provided her with some relief from the dangerous environment she faced in Florida.
