Brisbane.

Great destination for a vacation.

Not the best place for a rugby match.

The Highlanders suffered another defeat in Brisbane under the sunny skies.

The Queensland Reds dominated the second half, scoring two crucial tries to secure a 31-14 victory.

In 30 years of Super Rugby, the Highlanders have only managed to win four times in Brisbane.

It’s been a tough venue for them.

The game started with some excitement.

Although Highlanders’ lock Will Stodart crossed the line, he couldn’t ground the ball. Shortly after, Reds winger Tim Ryan kicked ahead and scored what seemed like the first try.

However, a knock-on was discovered by the television match official, saving the Highlanders from conceding early points.

The Reds were finding gaps in the Highlanders’ defense and applying pressure.

Hooker Jack Taylor impressed for the Highlanders with a remarkable 50-22 kick from his left foot.

Despite Taylor’s brilliance, a missed pass by Timoci Tavatavanawai squandered their opportunity.

The Reds took advantage of the Highlanders’ mistake and scored a complex try, showcasing skillful plays.

Hooker Matt Faessler then scored a straightforward try off a lineout drive.

Taylor once again sparked a chance for the Highlanders, setting up a try for halfback Adam Lennox.

However, the Reds responded with a well-worked team try finished off by Tim Ryan.

Trailing 19-7 at halftime, the Highlanders started the second half strongly.

Lucas Casey, a rookie for the Highlanders, powered through defenders to score his first try for the club.

Despite the Highlanders’ resurgence, the Reds quickly regained control with Lukhan Salakaia-Loto scoring a try.

The Reds extended their lead with another try as Vaiuta Latu capitalized on a mistake by Folau Fakatava.

With a 31-14 lead going into the final quarter, the Reds held on for the win.

The Highlanders continued to fight, with opportunities missed by TK Howden and Sean Withy.
