Former Cadbury employees in Dunedin are making a remarkable impact with their ongoing fundraising efforts for mental health. Every Saturday for over five years, they gather at their old workplace’s carpark during the Otago Farmers Market to raise money for this important cause.

Recently, I Am Hope ambassador Mike King joined them to show his support. Last year, they reached a milestone of $100,000 raised through gold-coin donations, and they continue to add to this total each week.

One of the former employees, Megan Fairley, emphasized their commitment to helping others and spreading empathy and compassion in the world. Their dedication has resulted in a total donation of $122,541, with a significant portion going to I Am Hope and other organizations such as Life Matters, Ronald McDonald House, Movember campaign, and Cyclone Gabrielle relief fund.

Mike King commended the group for their unwavering presence in all weather conditions, stating, “They are out here rain, hail or snow — we’re just here to support Megan and the team just to show our appreciation.”
