Michael J. Fox, at 64, reminisced about his journey from Canada to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career. He shared his experience during an event where he received a warm reception from the audience.

During his speech, the renowned Back to the Future star recalled a memorable encounter with a teacher who warned him that he wouldn’t remain “cute” forever. In response, Fox humorously quipped, “Maybe just long enough, sir.”

After facing the challenges of trying to break into the entertainment industry in LA, Fox eventually landed a role on Family Ties, which he described as the turning point in his career. It was on this show that he met his wife, Tracy Pollan, who portrayed his on-screen girlfriend, Ellen.

Reflecting on their relationship, Fox expressed gratitude for the four precious gifts Pollan had given him – their children: Schuyler, Aquinnah, Esmé, and Sam. He humorously remarked that he sometimes reminds his kids that if it weren’t for his acting career, they wouldn’t be part of their family.
