A Deer Breaks into a 103-Year-Old Woman’s Assisted Living Home
In a shocking incident in Michigan, a 103-year-old assisted living resident was injured when a deer broke through her bedroom window while she was in bed.
Body camera footage captured two officers from the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety breaking the glass on the resident’s living room patio door to allow the buck, which had entered the apartment, to escape back into the woods.
Staff at the Arbor North Living facility in Blackman Township reported the incident, stating that a deer had found its way into the resident’s home, preventing them from checking on her.
Officers Luke Bradley and Ryan Martin discovered the deer in the living room, where blood indicated its attempts to escape. The buck was seen moving around and charging at the patio window.
The officers managed to break the glass window, allowing the deer to escape into the woods. The buck ran off and has not been found since.
Fortunately, the resident was found conscious and alert by the officers. She was taken to the emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries.
Despite their efforts, the officers were unable to locate the deer after it ran off into the woods.
