Rakuten Viki, a popular streaming platform, is gearing up to release two new Korean thriller series in March across various regions including North and South America, Europe, and Oceania.
The first series, “Climax,” is a Viki Original that delves into themes of corporate greed, political corruption, and the dark side of show business. The story follows Bang Tae-seop, played by Ju Ji-hoon, a prosecutor who manipulates his position to climb the ranks of power. The series offers a sharp commentary on Korea’s elite class, focusing on a couple whose ambition drives them to dangerous extremes. The cast includes Ha Ji-won, Nana, Oh Jung-se, and Cha Joo-young.
On the lighter side, “Mad Concrete Dreams” is a Viki Exclusive that blends dark comedy with thrilling crime elements. Ha Jung-woo stars as Gi Su-jong, a building owner facing financial ruin and a disastrous fake kidnapping scheme orchestrated by his friend Min Hwal-sung, played by Kim Jun-han. The series also features Shim Eun-kyung, Im Soo-jung, and Krystal Jung in key roles, promising an engaging watch for fans of films like “Parasite.”

“Mad Concrete Dreams” is set to premiere on March 14, followed by “Climax” on March 16, giving viewers back-to-back thrills to look forward to.
