The newly launched Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro are making waves in the smartphone market, offering a fresh take on mid-range options. Tech Advisor has delved into these two models, highlighting four key differences that set them apart.

Starting with the design, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro boasts a slimmer profile at 7.95mm compared to the standard version. The Pro model features an aluminum unibody construction and an improved IP65 rating, giving it a more premium feel. On the other hand, the standard Nothing Phone (4a) sports a classic semi-transparent finish with a Glyph Bar consisting of 63 mini-LEDs, while the Pro model showcases an advanced Glyph Matrix with 137 mini-LEDs for a more dynamic display.

One of the standout features of the Nothing Phone (4a) series is the signature Glyph lighting system. The standard model utilizes a simplified Glyph Bar for notifications and photo illumination, while the Pro model incorporates the more intricate Glyph Matrix display that offers animated notifications.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro takes the lead with a larger Sony LYT700c main sensor and a 50Mp telephoto camera that supports up to 140x hybrid zoom. In comparison, the standard Nothing Phone (4a) also features a 50Mp telephoto camera but with a maximum 70x hybrid zoom, giving the Pro model an edge in capturing detailed shots from a distance.

When it comes to pricing, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro commands a significant premium over the standard model. Priced at £499 for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the Pro model is £150 more expensive than the base Nothing Phone (4a) with the same memory configuration, representing a 43% increase in price for the Pro variant.
