Man Shoves Two Straphangers onto Subway Tracks in Upper East Side

An unsettling incident occurred on Sunday at the Lexington Avenue–63rd Street subway station in Manhattan when a maniac shoved two unsuspecting commuters onto the tracks. The victims, an 83-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, were waiting for their respective trains when the assailant approached them from behind and forcefully pushed them onto the rails below, according to the police.

A maniac randomly shoved two straphangers – including an 83-year-old man – onto Upper East Side subway tracks, cops said.

Witnesses reported that the shoving seemed unprovoked, and the suspect fled the scene before he could be apprehended. Fortunately, Good Samaritans acted swiftly to rescue the victims from the tracks before any approaching trains arrived at the station.

Both victims, who were not acquainted with each other, were taken to Cornell Hospital by EMS personnel. They are currently in stable condition, recovering from the traumatic incident.
