The recent results in the SEC have thrown the conference race into chaos, with multiple teams still in contention for a spot in the championship game. Alabama’s dominant performance against LSU and Ole Miss’ impressive win over Georgia have added to the uncertainty.

As we look ahead, it’s projected that Georgia will defeat Tennessee and Texas will come out on top against Texas A&M. This scenario would likely set up a showdown between Texas and Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, with many favoring the Tide to emerge victorious.

It’s a tough situation for some teams in the SEC, as at least one 10-2 team may miss out on a spot in the College Football Playoff. Tennessee could be the unfortunate team in this scenario, with a lack of quality wins on their resume. However, there’s also the possibility of Indiana, with an 11-1 record, making a case for a playoff spot.

Looking at other conferences, Oregon has been solid but Ohio State is still the favorite in a potential Big Ten Championship Game rematch. Penn State may not have the best resume, but their high ranking by the committee suggests they would still be in a good position with an 11-1 record.

In the Big 12, Colorado is emerging as a potential champion, with a strong run of form. Unfortunately, this means leaving out undefeated BYU, whose luck may run out against tough opponents like Arizona State. Ole Miss, with impressive wins over Georgia and potentially South Carolina, could snag the last at-large spot.

Overall, the college football landscape is full of uncertainty and intrigue, with the playoff picture far from settled. It will be interesting to see how the remaining games play out and which teams ultimately earn a spot in the postseason.
