Jack Schlossberg Leverages JFK Legacy in Campaign Fundraising
Manhattan congressional candidate Jack Schlossberg is drawing on the legacy of his grandfather, former President John F. Kennedy, to bolster his campaign fundraising efforts.
In a recent email plea for donations, Schlossberg, 33, emphasized his focus on hope, inspired by his reflection on JFK’s legacy. “My name is Jack, or John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg if you want to know the whole thing,” he shared, even mentioning his grandmother, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis.
Schlossberg is among the candidates vying for the Democratic nomination in the 12th House District to succeed Rep. Jerrold Nadler in Manhattan.
In his fundraising emails, Schlossberg highlighted Trump’s actions that he perceives as disrespectful to JFK’s legacy and emphasized his grandfather’s teachings about service and hope in politics.
Schlossberg acknowledged the weight of his family’s legacy and expressed his commitment to serving others, echoing JFK’s ideals.
Despite criticism for his focus on JFK, Schlossberg believes that connecting with voters through his grandfather resonates with many who cherish their own grandparents.
“The generations who built NYC and the USA deserve to be acknowledged,” Schlossberg stated. “I love asking people about their grandparents. That’s when they light up.”
