Thanks to a series of recent storms blessing most of the Colorado high country, ski resorts are enjoying well above normal snowfall this season. According to data from the OpenSnow forecasting and reporting service, Steamboat is the only resort below average at 86% of normal, having received 28 inches so far.

Crested Butte, Monarch, Purgatory, and Telluride have all received double their average snowfall for this time of year, while Eldora is close at 96% above normal. Other resorts like Aspen, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Winter Park are also experiencing abundant snowfall, with some areas receiving more than 50% above average.

Leading the snowfall rankings are Copper Mountain with 55 inches, followed by Purgatory (46), Keystone (42), and Telluride (41). In the past five days, Echo Mountain and Monarch received 16 inches, while Arapahoe Basin and Loveland saw 10 inches.

Another storm is expected mid-week, with 16 resorts predicted to receive six inches or more. Currently, only eight resorts are open for the season, with Vail and Purgatory scheduled to open soon.
