‘Heated Rivalry,’ Cynthia Erivo and Lady Gaga Win Queerties Awards

The 14th annual LGBTQ Queerties Awards took place on Tuesday night in Los Angeles, honoring some of the biggest names in the LGBTQ community. Among the winners were Jonathan Bailey, Lady Gaga, and Cynthia Erivo, who all took home awards for their contributions to the community.

“Heated Rivalry” was named the best TV Drama, while Jonathan Bailey received the prestigious Badass award, considered the top honor of the ceremony. Lady Gaga’s song “Abracadabra” was named the best anthem of the year, and Cynthia Erivo won two awards for her work in the film “Wicked: For Good” and her memoir “Simply More.”

Special honors were also presented to Margaret Cho, who received the Icon Award, Megan Stalter, who received the Vanguard Award, and Mae Martin, who received the Groundbreaker Award. The ceremony was hosted by Trixie Mattel and will be available for streaming on WOW Presents Plus starting March 19.

Scott Gatz, the CEO of Q.Digital, Queerty’s parent company, stated, “The Queerties represent the true voice of our community. These winners were chosen by millions of LGBTQ+ people and allies who see themselves reflected in these stories, performances, and cultural moments. This is our community celebrating our own.”

The full list of winners includes Jonathan Bailey for Badass, Bosco for Drag Royalty, Suzie Toot for Future All-Star, “The Kelly Mantle Show” for Podcast, Niecy Nash for TikToker, Cheyenne Jackson for Insta-follow, Caleb Hearon for Comic, “Oh Mary” for Theater, KATSEYE for Breakout Musical Artist, “Vodka Cranberry” by Conan Gray for Music Video, and many more.

Overall, the LGBTQ Queerties Awards celebrated the diverse talents and voices within the LGBTQ community, highlighting the importance of representation and recognition for LGBTQ individuals in the entertainment industry.
