US-based multi-family office and wealth manager Cresset has announced the appointment of Susie Cranston as its new CEO, effective from April 15, 2026. Cranston, who has been serving as the firm’s president since April 2024, will also join the company’s board of directors. Co-founders Avy Stein and Eric Becker will continue their involvement with Cresset as executive co-chairs, focusing on various aspects such as company culture, client relations, investment strategy, growth plans, mergers and acquisitions, recruitment efforts, and governance.

Having worked closely with Stein, Becker, and the executive team, Cranston has been instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of Cresset. The firm has emphasized its commitment to supporting families with complex financial needs and maintaining its operational excellence during this time. Stein expressed his confidence in Cranston, stating that her leadership qualities and dedication to serving clients align with the firm’s core values. He believes that formalizing her role as CEO will position Cresset for a successful future.

Cranston brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having held senior positions at First Republic Bank and J.P. Morgan Chase, as well as working at McKinsey & Company. She described Cresset as a firm with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong focus on stewardship. Cranston expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her and the opportunity to work alongside Avy, Eric, and the rest of the team as they continue to serve clients and build a lasting legacy for future generations.
