Alabama Teen Beats Up Drunk Dad to Save Mom from Strangulation
A 13-year-old Alabama boy took matters into his own hands when he witnessed his drunk and abusive father attempting to strangle his mother during a heated argument at their home in Foley. The courageous teen, whose name has not been disclosed, bravely fought back against his father, Daniel Hernandez-Lopez, in order to protect his mother from harm.
According to reports from kolotv.com, the young boy intervened when he saw Hernandez-Lopez choking his mother, and he immediately sprang into action to defend her.
Reports suggest that Hernandez-Lopez, who is not a US Citizen, became aggressive towards his son when confronted outside the house for his actions. The teen courageously stood up to his father, who allegedly attempted to strike him with a bicycle, and retaliated by repeatedly punching him in the face.
The physical altercation left Hernandez-Lopez with two black eyes, a swollen lip, and possibly rendered him unconscious. Police suspect that the father may have been under the influence of alcohol and narcotics during the incident.
Following the altercation, Hernandez-Lopez was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was subsequently booked into the Baldwin County jail, where his police mugshot displayed the visible injuries he sustained during the confrontation.
This harrowing incident sheds light on the bravery and quick thinking of the young boy who took a stand against domestic violence to protect his mother. The actions of this teenager serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of standing up against abuse and protecting loved ones in times of crisis.
