Copilot hosts all the AI features for Microsoft.

Microsoft, the tech giant known for its AI innovations in partnership with OpenAI, is considering rebranding its flagship product, Copilot, to Windows Intelligence. Copilot, previously known as Bing Chat, offers AI-powered features like ChatGPT web search.

Recently, a social media post hinted at a potential rebranding in a settings file of a Copilot update, suggesting a shift towards a subscription-based model under the name “Microsoft Intelligence.” This move seems to follow Apple’s footsteps, who introduced Apple Intelligence earlier this year.

The rebranding could help integrate AI features into all Windows applications, enhancing brand recall and unifying Microsoft’s AI offerings. This strategy mirrors past instances where Microsoft drew inspiration from Apple, like the introduction of Cortana following Siri’s launch.

It’s worth pondering how Apple’s late co-founder, Steve Jobs, would perceive this rebranding. In a 1995 interview, Jobs famously remarked, “They have absolutely no taste,” in reference to Microsoft.
