During his show on Wednesday night, Jimmy Kimmel called out Newsmax host Rob Schmitt for attempting to get him fired for criticizing President Donald Trump’s SAVE America Act.
While Republicans refer to the bill as a voter ID law, opponents argue that it will disenfranchise eligible voters.
Kimmel labeled it a scheme by Trump to manipulate the midterm elections.
He played a clip of Schmitt urging the FCC to take action against him, accusing ABC of breaking the law by featuring Kimmel on their show.
Kimmel ridiculed Schmitt’s stance, pointing out Newsmax’s $67 million settlement for spreading election lies in 2020.
Mocking Schmitt’s claims of propaganda, Kimmel joked that Newsmax is to the Trump administration what the Fearless Flyer is to Trader Joe’s.
Expressing his exasperation, Kimmel questioned why Newsmax was so concerned about cancel culture when it came to him.
