Peacock has officially announced the exciting news that “Love Island USA” will be returning for its highly anticipated eighth season. The show, hosted by the fabulous Ariana Madix, is set to premiere on June 2 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
The decision to renew the show comes after the massive success of the seventh season, which saw over 18.4 billion minutes streamed on Peacock during its six-week run. Not only did it dominate the streaming charts, but it also experienced a 150% increase in viewership from the previous year, solidifying its status as a fan favorite.
Since its debut in 2019, “Love Island USA” has been a hit with audiences, following a group of single contestants known as Islanders as they navigate the ups and downs of finding love in a picturesque villa in Fiji. The seventh season featured a diverse cast including Bryan Arenales, Gracyn Blackmore, Jeremiah Brown, Clarke Carraway, Amaya Espinal, Hannah Fields, Pepe Garcia, and Iris Kendall.
Fans of the show will also be delighted to know that “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” Season 2, which was renewed last November, now has a confirmed release date of April 15. This spin-off series will bring back some of the favorite Islanders from Season 7 and will premiere with two episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
The team behind the success of “Love Island USA” includes executive producers such as David George, Adam Sher, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Jordana Hochman, and many more. Produced by ITV America, the series is based on a format owned by Lifted Entertainment and Motion Entertainment, distributed by ITV Studios.
With the upcoming eighth season and the release of “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” Season 2, fans can look forward to more drama, romance, and excitement as the Islanders embark on their journey to find love. Stay tuned for more updates and exclusive content as the season premiere approaches.
