Dorléac disclosed that Doherty collaborated with a producer to disrupt the continuity of a film during the production of her ’90s television movie, A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story, directed by Larry Peerce.
Recounting an experience with a costume, Dorléac said, “I always go to the set to establish the costume before it’s shot and make certain everything was right. I said, ‘Oh, Shannen, it just turned out to be so wonderful,'” referring to a pale suit he designed for her. “It makes your eyes so blue. And she goes, ‘yeah, they are, aren’t they?'”
Dorléac was puzzled when Doherty’s eyes appeared brown the next day while she wore a tan and cream outfit.
The situation recurred when her eyes seemed a “vivid green” with another outfit.
“And her eyes are almost cat green, not hazel-y green, like mine or hers were originally,” he elaborated.
