Warzone Black Ops Royale mode explained
Black Ops Royale draws inspiration from Blackout, Call of Duty’s first Battle Royale. It eliminates the reliance on meta and loadouts, reverting to core scavenger-style gameplay. This mode excludes loadouts, Gulag, Buy Stations, and in-game cash.
Players begin on the expansive Avalon map with just a pistol, a wingsuit, and two armor plates. From there, they must search for weapons and upgrade them using Weapon Attachment Kits, with Legendary as the top tier.
The perk system in this mode is unique. Perks are found as ground loot and are temporary, lasting between two to four minutes once activated. Players can store or trade perks with teammates.
Additionally, the mode features unique elements like Cradle Breaches, where players can enter zones marked by red smoke, defeat a boss, and earn exclusive rewards to enhance their gameplay.
The ultimate goal remains to be the last squad standing, or in the newly added Solos mode, to be the last player standing.
