The video depicts the streamer crashing his vehicle at high speed into a road barrier, purportedly during a livestream. A camera inside the car captures the moment it nearly collides with a person standing on the road.
Immediately after the crash, the footage briefly goes dark. When the video returns, smoke is visible inside the car. Here are further details.

Shank Comics, a prominent Nigerian Twitch streamer with over 260,000 followers, saw the video of his crash rapidly gain traction, amassing thousands of views across various social media platforms.
The incident sparked controversy, with numerous individuals accusing the streamer of reckless driving. On the platform X, one user, @dizneyx, suggested that Shank Comics face penalties:
“he should serve at least six months in jail and his license should be suspended.”
As noted, Shank Comics narrowly avoided hitting a person on the road, which led to the crash. The individual managed to get out of the way just in time, potentially saving their life. Another user on X, @1tsnatural, commented:
“he should be brought in for questioning for endangering his life like that”
Another observer, @JamesAdino57928, argued that Shank should face legal consequences for his reckless driving in a Mercedes, reportedly owned by his friend Habby Forex:
“He should be charged to court for reckless driving”
Yet another user on X, @TheRealGulu, mentioned another incident involving TikTok personality Peller, who also crashed a Mercedes-Benz on camera and was detained by police:
“These guys should be arrested and prosecuted. Peller dis it the last time and now this guy. This is a bad influence to kids and others… Another person may try this and end up dead”
In response to the widespread backlash and numerous comments, Shank addressed the incident. He stated that the crash occurred five months prior and expressed regret for his actions. He also claimed the video was part of a paid campaign against him.
At the time of writing, Shank is reportedly in good health.
