This week, Hulu is making a special appeal to Marvel enthusiasts with a new addition to its streaming roster. The Daredevil: Born Again series, which premiered on Disney+ last year, is now available on Hulu for a short period. This release serves as a glimpse into the anticipated merger of the two streaming platforms.
As part of the Watch With Us team’s top picks, the series is the first recommendation among three trending Hulu movies and TV shows to enjoy this week. The other two selections feature a comedy-drama with an outstanding cast and a political satire that feels particularly relevant.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ (2025 – Present)
On March 24, Disney+ will release the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Meanwhile, Hulu subscribers can currently watch the entire first season. Although this series maintains continuity with the Daredevil show that aired on Netflix a decade ago, it offers a fresh narrative for the characters. Matt Murdock (played by Charlie Cox) had stepped away from his Daredevil persona following a personal tragedy that affected someone close to him.
While keeping a low profile with his new legal partner, Kirsten McDuffie (played by Nikki M. James), Matt finds it challenging to ignore the call for Daredevil’s return in New York City. His former nemesis, Wilson Fisk (played by Vincent D’Onofrio), now holds the position of mayor and is among the few who know Matt’s secret identity. Matt’s decision to don the Daredevil costume again will inevitably reignite his conflict with Fisk, who wields significant power in the city. With Fisk’s influence, even law enforcement is targeting Daredevil.

‘Is This Thing On?’ (2025)
Directed by Bradley Cooper, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Will Arnett and Mark Chappell, the comedy-drama Is This Thing On? features Cooper in a supporting role as Balls. Arnett stars as Alex Novak, a man recently divorced from Tess Novak (played by Laura Dern), seeking to move forward with his life.

‘Anniversary’ (2025)
The political thriller Anniversary went largely unnoticed last year but has quickly risen in popularity on Hulu. Phoebe Dynevor stars as Liz Nettles, a budding author and former student of Ellen Taylor (played by Diane Lane). Liz is now engaged to Ellen’s son, Rob Taylor (played by Dylan O’Brien), just as her debut book is poised to become a political movement.
As time passes, Liz accumulates power and influence, with her movement profoundly affecting the Taylor family. Ellen’s youngest daughter, Birdie (played by McKenna Grace), is even willing to put her life on the line to oppose Liz’s authoritarian goals. While an idea cannot be extinguished, it can wreak havoc on both the country and the Taylors. By the time Liz’s influence wanes, the damage to both may be irreparable.
