President Donald J. Trump has announced the initial members of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). Formed through an Executive Order, PCAST assembles leading figures in science and technology to offer advice to the President and suggest strategies to bolster America’s leadership in these fields.
The Council will be jointly led by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios.

Under President Trump’s direction, PCAST will address the implications and opportunities that emerging technologies pose for the American workforce, aiming to ensure prosperity during this era of innovation.
The Council can have up to 24 members. More appointments are expected soon, along with details about the Council’s inaugural meeting.
Since the creation of the Science Advisory Board by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933, each President has formed their own PCAST advisory committee comprising scientists, engineers, and industry leaders.
