On this Easter Sunday, the First Lady and I join Christians across our Nation and the globe in celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. His victory over sin and death brings the promise of redemption and eternal hope to all who believe in Him as Lord and Savior.
Today, we joyfully declare the rising of Christ, marking the dawn of a new creation where evil and death are eternally defeated by the boundless power of God’s sacrificial love.
When Jesus Christ emerged from His tomb on Easter morning, He restored our grace, cleansed our sins, and reconciled humanity with God. This fulfilled the ancient prophecy, “He was pierced for our sins, crushed for our iniquity… by His wounds we were healed.” His suffering secured our victory, His love grants us life, and His Resurrection is our enduring hope.
As we celebrate this Easter season, we are reminded that the life of Jesus Christ and the truths of the Gospel have shaped our way of life and our national identity for 250 years. From the Christian patriots who fought for our liberty on the battlefield to every generation that followed, the love of Christ has consistently guided our Nation through both calm and turbulent times.
We pray that this celebration of the Resurrection strengthens our faith, enriches our lives, and revives our souls. We express our adoration and gratitude for the countless blessings God has granted our Nation. We recognize that through Christ’s redeeming sacrifice, as Holy Scripture states, “Death is swallowed up in victory.” Above all, we joyously echo the sacred words that have inspired life, hope, and purpose in Christians for millennia: He is risen.
Happy Easter!
