Iran confirms its agreement to the ceasefire, with Fars Iran reporting that the US accepted Iran’s 10-point proposal as a negotiation foundation. This includes Iran’s control of the Strait of Hormuz, full compensation for war damages, and withdrawal of American forces from the region.

Iran’s Foreign Minister declared that the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened for two weeks during the ceasefire, but it will continue to remain under Iranian jurisdiction.
The agreement does not mention Iran’s nuclear program, effectively removing Trump’s rationale for initiating this conflict from discussion.
This has not deterred Trump from celebrating his decision on Truth Social:
Based on discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir of Pakistan, and upon their request to delay the destructive force planned for tonight against Iran, and given the Islamic Republic of Iran’s agreement to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I have decided to postpone the bombing and offensive against Iran for two weeks. This will be a mutual CEASEFIRE!
