The fashion buzz for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has officially started.
As the film prepares for its May 1 release, stars like Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are set to grace red carpets globally to promote it. This upcoming tour promises numerous memorable fashion moments.
The sequel, arriving two decades after the original, has generated significant excitement. According to the storyline, it features “Miranda Priestly navigating her career as traditional magazine publishing declines, clashing with Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton, who is now a prominent executive at a luxury group with crucial advertising funds Priestly needs.”
The press tour kicked off in Mexico City, where Streep donned a red Dolce & Gabbana suit, and Hathaway wore a fringed Schiaparelli dress with a striking gold belt. During a late-night appearance on The Stephen Colbert Show, Streep chose a custom cerulean J.Crew sweater. (Indeed, it was cerulean, not turquoise or lapis.)
The fashion parade continued in Tokyo, with Streep in a Matthieu Blazy-era Chanel ensemble, while Hathaway opted for Valentino couture from the spring 2026 collection.
If you’re eager to follow every fashion highlight, stay tuned here to see the outfits worn by the film’s top cast during the press tour. Keep an eye out; perhaps there’ll be a sighting of thigh-high leather Chanel boots—or another cerulean sweater.
