Police have reported that a woman suspected of burglary allegedly posed as a college student to infiltrate a dormitory, spending three nights stealing from students.

According to Kelly Cantwell, the University of Cincinnati’s public information officer, Carissa Gunter, 19, gained entry to Daniels Hall in December by pretending to be a student. This incident occurred just after the fall semester concluded, as she told WXIX.

Gunter, who hails from Mason, Ohio, spent three nights in Room 105, where she reportedly stole items such as an Acer laptop, headphones, a USB drive containing games, and several pairs of Nikes and Uggs, as detailed in an affidavit.

Following a lengthy investigation, Gunter was apprehended this week and now faces four charges of burglary, according to police.

She is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.

Daniels Hall, at full capacity, accommodates 775 students across 12 floors. The University of Cincinnati’s website describes the dormitory as having “a welcoming and very social atmosphere” where students are often seen with “doors open for visitors and smiling faces.”

The Cincinnati Police Department has yet to respond to The Post’s request for further details.
