Seth Rollins, the former WWE Superstar, recently shared his list of favorite opponents during his time in the company. In an episode of The Pivot Podcast, Rollins revealed that one of his top three favorite opponents was none other than current AEW star Jon Moxley, who was previously known as Dean Ambrose in WWE. The two wrestlers had a memorable rivalry after The Shield faction disbanded, showcasing their incredible chemistry in the ring.
“My favorite guys that I’ve ever been in (the ring) with, Ambrose (Jon Moxley) is one of them. You mentioned rivalries, when we broke up The Shield, he and I really got together and did a lot of great stuff in the early part of our careers. And we just complimented each other kind of really well,” Rollins expressed during the podcast.
Apart from Moxley, Rollins also mentioned John Cena and Brock Lesnar as his other two favorite opponents to work with. The former World Heavyweight Champion recently defeated Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia but faced retaliation from Reed on the following episode of RAW. Despite the attack, Damian Priest emerged victorious in a Fatal Four-Way Match to earn a title shot against Gunther.
In a surprising turn of events, wrestling veteran Stevie Richards claimed on The Stevie Richards Show that legends of the business from the Attitude Era, including The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock, would have refused to work with Seth Rollins. Richards argued that these iconic wrestlers would have been hesitant to sell Rollins’ finishing move, citing political favoritism and creative differences as potential factors.
Rollins, who recently disclosed details about his relationship with WWE Superstar Becky Lynch, has been absent from WWE television since his loss to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match in May. The ongoing drama surrounding Rollins’ in-ring performance and backstage politics adds an intriguing layer to his wrestling career.
As the wrestling world continues to evolve, fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter in Seth Rollins’ journey, both in and out of the squared circle. Stay tuned for more updates and developments in the world of professional wrestling.
