Justin Bieber fulfilled Billie Eilish‘s childhood dream by serenading her on stage during Coachella’s second weekend. This memorable experience was equally special for her mother.
During Bieber’s second headlining act at Coachella 2026 on Saturday, April 18, in Indio, California, he invited the 24-year-old Eilish to join him on stage. Her mother, Maggie Baird, shared her reflections on Instagram, capturing the moment from the audience’s perspective.
“This was one of the most heartfelt moments,” Baird, 67, expressed alongside a collection of photos and videos from the event. “It’s incredible to watch our children form deep connections with artists who inspire them, even when there’s little we can do. We might buy their albums or tickets to a concert â or even a movie version, as we couldnât afford the real thing.”
Baird shared a video of Eilish, visibly emotional, standing in disbelief beside her. The tradition of becoming Justinâs âOne Less Lonely Girlâ involves inviting a fan on stage for a serenade as he performs his 2009 song.
Baird continued, “I am immensely grateful to Justin Bieber for his kindness toward Billie, and to Hailey [Bieber] for making so many wonderful things possible.” (Hailey, 29, has been married to Justin since September 2018, and they have a one-year-old son, Jack.)
Hailey responded to Bairdâs post with heartfelt messages, writing “â€ïž you guys!” and later adding, “so special.”

Eilish, who has been a devoted fan of Justin since she was about 12, shared her emotions on her Instagram Stories. She posted a teary-eyed selfie with the words, “Canât stop crying.”
Despite mixed reviews from his first Coachella weekend performance, Justin surprised the audience by bringing Eilish on stage. As detailed in Baird’s post, the crowd erupted with excitement when Eilish, escorted by Hailey, made her way to the stage, eventually receiving a warm embrace from Justin.

In a 2021 interview with Billboard, Eilish spoke about Justin’s support in her pop star journey. “He’s a good friend,” she revealed, adding that his advice has been invaluable in dealing with fame. “He reaches out sometimes, offering words that make me feel understood and not alone in this experience.”
