Chris Jericho is renowned as one of the greatest wrestlers in history, and he recently shared the inspiration behind his passion for wrestling.
Having spent many years in the wrestling industry, Jericho initially gained prominence in WCW before transitioning to WWE, where he quickly became a main event star. Throughout his career, he faced off against some of the biggest names, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena. Jim Ross commented on Chris Jericho’s AEW return
Chris Jericho was absent from action for several months last year, leading to speculation about his departure from the Jacksonville-based promotion and a possible return to WWE. Rumors suggested he might leave Tony Khan’s company upon contract expiry. However, Jericho returned to Dynamite recently, dispelling all such rumors.
On his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross expressed his belief that Jericho would return to either WWE or AEW.
“Well, I was, to some degree, Conrad. I just thought Jericho was going to return with either company (WWE or AEW). I’m sure Tony Khan is giving Chris great paydays, no doubt,” Ross said.
Ross further noted that Jericho’s decision to return in Winnipeg was not unexpected.
“I think he’s an old school guy and going back to Winnipeg, his hometown where he got his career started, is not a massive surprise.”
It’s great to see Jericho back with All Elite Wrestling.
