First Lady Melania Trump spearheaded a groundbreaking educational initiative today that blended cross-cultural learning with cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence and virtual reality. As part of her program, Fostering the Future Together, American students teamed up with the First Lady and Her Majesty Queen Camilla to delve into the histories of Britain and America.

“Today, students all over the world can visit historically important sites, learn about the past, and be inspired,” said First Lady Melania Trump. “Our children don’t need to board airplanes to experience history anymore. Kids can have an educational experience that is fundamentally richer and more memorable than ever before, through VR and AI.”

The students embarked on a virtual journey through iconic British landmarks, enjoying an immersive 360-degree experience. Their virtual tour included Snowdonia, Giant’s Causeway, Stonehenge, and the exterior of Buckingham Palace, all enhancing their understanding of different cultures and geographies through advanced technology.

Each student donned a Meta Quest headset featuring the “Fostering the Future Together” logo alongside U.S. and U.K. flags. Many participants were state champions of the Presidential AI Challenge. The event was held at the White House Tennis Pavilion, a site known for its architectural and design significance during the 45th Administration.

The First Lady also presented a collection of historically significant artifacts to Her Majesty and the students. Viewed through Meta’s AI glasses, these American artifacts highlighted the strong cultural bonds between the United States and the United Kingdom. Students explored items from the White House Collection and the National Archives and Records Administration.

The showcased artifacts included a portrait of President John Adams, the first U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, a World War II situation map for President Franklin D. Roosevelt, a bronze bust of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Staffordshire ceramics symbolizing early cultural exchanges across the Atlantic. Other items, such as gifts from previous state visits, further emphasized the enduring friendship between the two nations.

Throughout the program, the First Lady and Her Majesty engaged actively with students, fostering discussions on their innovative learning experiences and encouraging thoughtful conversations about history and technology. The event underscored Mrs. Trump’s ongoing dedication to Fostering the Future Together, part of the BE BEST initiative aimed at empowering children globally through technology and education.
