Emma, the twin sister of the 25-year-old, received $5 million from Jeffrey Epstein, bringing the total bequest to $10 million, matching the sum left to his known accomplice and convicted sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell.
The parents’ legal representatives, Thomas Skjelbred and John Christian Elden, commented on the situation to Norwegian outlet VG, stating, “It has been overshadowed by months of public scrutiny that has shifted from being critical to being suspicious and speculative, often without bounds.”
“This scrutiny has not only impacted the parents but has also pulled their children unwillingly into the relentless gaze of the public,” they noted.
The attorneys further expressed, “Drawing connections without evidence is both reckless and inappropriate. The issue of suicide is inherently complex, with no single explanation, cause, or blame.”
