A homeless man in Florida, Terry Eugene Roberts Jr., 51, boarded a stranger’s yacht in Miami and refused to leave. He claimed he was safeguarding it for his “friend,” President Trump, according to dramatic police bodycam footage.

The yacht, docked on the Miami River, became the scene of an unusual incident when Roberts was found relaxing onboard, enjoying a beverage and snacking on chips. The boat’s owner alerted police, describing Roberts as “crazy” and threatening, as revealed by the video and a police report.

Upon questioning by officers, Roberts, who is homeless, stated he was “holding it for a friend,” as shown in footage posted by the City of Miami Police Department on Thursday.

“This boat belongs to Donald Trump. You need to call him,” Roberts told the officers.

When asked to leave the boat to confirm his claim with the commander in chief, Roberts refused to move.

“I don’t have to [go],” he told the officers. “I’m a veteran of the United States Army, and I’m here to protect Donald Trump.”

Roberts further claimed, “I’m a part of the Hell’s Angels which protects the United States government, and I protect the president as well,” while calmly tying his shoes.

The police department’s marine unit was called to the scene, and officers boarded the yacht. They pointed tasers at Roberts, urging him to stand and leave with them.

Roberts refused, insisting that only Trump could make him leave. Subsequently, he was handcuffed.

According to a police report obtained by The Post, Roberts claimed responsibility for protecting several yachts in the area.

Authorities said he damaged a bedroom door on the yacht, with repair costs estimated at $3,000. Roberts also allegedly took the yacht’s keys, which were found in his pockets.

He faces charges of criminal mischief, trespassing, petty theft, and resisting an officer without violence.

Police mentioned that Roberts was wanted for allegedly stealing a motorcycle two days before the yacht incident.
